Melissa, my darling friend. I ache for your loss, but I know you are at peace now with your angel and that is the only thing that brings me solace. You were the sweetest soul. I don’t think I’ve met anyone with more heart and compassion. You were always the first one to reach out or share your number to others in pain, the first one in our girls group to initiate the group chats and set up our monthly girls night out, and the mama bear for us all (even though you’re younger than me!) thank you my darling for loving my kids. Naomi still wants to blow bubbles with MiMi, and Langston still plays with his gift from Mimi. I’m still shell shocked and at a huge loss for words. I hate that I didn’t reach out more, the guilt is consuming. We all relied on you to be the leader, the one to reach out and it’s just hard and a huge wake up call for me to do better and reach out more. I love you, I love you, I love you. So much. Thank you a million times over for allowing me to be a part of your life and thank you for being such a light in mine and in my kids’ lives. The natural mama, trust and know you were a mom to so many lives. I will look after Amy for you. I promise. Thank you for still teaching me to be better. We will continue to honor you, the strongest and sweetest soul we had the privilege of knowing. You are appreciated, you are seen, and you are and will continue to be loved.
