Obituary of Nancy L. Schmid
SCHENECTADY –
Nancy L. Schmid of Schenectady NY was born on December 31, 1963 (Tevet 15, 5724), and fell asleep on February 18, 2025 (Shevat 20, 5785). Peace be upon her.
John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?””
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.”
Revelation 14:13: “Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.””
A natural burial will take place in the Spring at Woestina Cemetery, located at 1397 Main St, Rotterdam Junction, NY 12150. Flowers are not appropriate. Flowers bloom and then wither, representing the temporary nature of life, while stones are permanent and symbolize the everlasting soul.
