Obituary of John Barrett O'Connell, Sr.

Loudonville, NY

John B. “Jake” O’Connell, Sr., 76, of Loudonville, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017, surrounded by his children.  

He is survived by his former wife, Mary Ann DiDonna and their six children: John O’Connell, Jr. (Mary), Deborah Jackson (Jeff), Coleen Greene (Bobby), Eileen Iannone (James), Joseph O’Connell, and Katina O’Connell; his brother Kevin O’Connell (Marie), his sister Rita Gleason, as well as his partner Helen McLean. 

John had several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews, all of whom John adored and loved with all his heart.

Funeral Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10 AM from St. Joseph’s Church, 416 Third Street, Troy, where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call on Thursday, December 21^st at the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2^nd Avenue, (corner of 104^th Street), Troy, NY 12180, from 6 to 8 PM.

Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY.
