Joyce Hedberg

 

Joyce Hedberg, 87, of Troy, beloved wife of the late Walter Hedberg, went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2018. Born in Patchogue, NY, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Albin (Leo) and beloved step-daughter of Harold Leo.

 

Joyce volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy, NY.  She enjoyed attending the Golden Oldies Group of Hoosic Valley Community Church, camping and doing things with family.  

 

Besides her husband and parents, Joyce was predeceased by her brother Kenneth and a granddaughter, Danielle King.  She is survived by three children: Kenneth (Kim) Hedberg, Kathleen Hedberg and Lorraine (Daniel) Lewis; two grandchildren: Amanda and Scott Lewis, 2 great grandchildren: Samantha and Donovyn King, and two nieces: Karen, Linda and LeeAnn. 

 

A Funeral service will be conducted on Monday evening at 6 PM from the Chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Lansingburgh. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service. Interment will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock.
