Obituary of Michael J. Zullo
Michael Zullo, 71, of Clifton Park, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Daughters of Sarah nursing center in Albany, NY.
Born in Queens, NY, on February 2, 1947, Michael was employed as an air traffic controller while living with his wife, Judith, and their children in Shirley, NY. Later, he and his family moved to Bowie, MD where he worked for the National Weather Service. After he retired, Michael and his wife moved to The Villages, FL for a few years before moving to Clifton Park, NY, where they could be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Among Michael’s hobbies and pastimes were watching old war movies, collecting and restoring antique firearms, and enjoying time with his family where he would always make sure everyone was well fed.
Michael is survived by his wife: Judith, children: Jennifer (Daniel) Sandshaw of Ballston Lake, NY, Elizabeth (Christopher) Battibulli of Albany, NY and Michael (Dorothy) Zullo of East Moriches, NY, grandchildren: Eamon, Michael, and Sophia, brother: Douglas (Christine) Zullo, and many close friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4 Northcrest Dr, Clifton Park, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and join the family for a luncheon at the church immediately following.
