Obituary of Edward B. Maxfield
Edward B, Maxfield, 86, of Jay Hakes Road, Grafton passed away March 18, 2019 surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late George E. Maxfield and Maude (Landfear) Maxfield and beloved husband of 42 years to the late Betty A. (Bidwell) Maxfield.
Loving father of: Edward J. Maxfield (Ann Marie) of Averill Park, Debbie Beaudoin (Mark) of Grafton, Bonnie Wilcox of Johnsonville and Mary Beauregard (Don) of Valley Falls. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and loving brothers: George (predeceased), Charlie, Jimmy, Leon, Kenny and a sister Shirley (predeceased), several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Raised in Grafton, Ed ran two successful businesses; Busy Bee Movers and Ed’s Transmissions. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs, which held a special place in his heart.
The family would like to give special thanks to his Hospice nurses and the staff.
Services will be held at Center Brunswick United Methodist Church, 990 Hoosick Road, Troy, NY on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be follow, at 1 pm, in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 52 Belle Avenue Troy. .
