Obituary of Rose M. Sias

Troy, NY

Rose M. Greene Sias, passed away after fighting cancer on Friday March 29, 2019.

Born in Troy on April 11, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Jeanie Greene Catalfu.

She was a loving mother to Hayden Sias (Jess) of Corinth, NY, Brendan Sias of Saratoga Springs, NY and Whitney Stenkamp (Justin) of Washington State and the loving grandmother, “Momala” to Blake Sias, Garrett and Dahlia Stenkamp

Rose loved golfing, the ocean and her favorite place Saratoga Lake.

She loved to cook, and decorate her home with the crafts she loved to do.

Rosie is survived by her loving sisters: Jodi Waters (Joe), Joanne McMahon (Tim), Patti Coghill (David), Cindy Carabis (Tim), Pam Checca, Elizabeth Joy (Tom) as well as and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was predeceased by her brother, Rollin “Butchie” Greene (Tracy Murray).

A graveside service will be conducted at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy, NY (use Tibbits Ave. entrance), on Thursday, April 11th at 1 pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
