I want to give the Leffler my deepest toughts in losing a loved one. I know from experience what it feels to loose a loved one. After a fought and beat cancer back in November 1993, a year later lost my dads mother in fall 1994. Then late October lost my moms mother, then not even 5 months later lost my moms father aka Bumpa as I called him. All in all Heaven has gotten more handsome. Rest in Peace Ian, wish I had gotten to know you more

Dear Leffler family, I was so fond of your boys and would always joke that I couldn’t tell them apart for love or money. Ian (andMike) always smiled, were so respectful and a joy to be around. To the Leffler family,
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Ian. As one of their coaches for Pop Warner back in the mid 200’s, Ian (and Michael) were joys to coach. Ian was one of those kids that was sociable, confident and smart, and he had that “football sense.” Sometimes a little shy, I never had to worry about Ian not knowing what to do. I’ll always remember one of the other coaches telling me that by putting the Leffler’s on opposite of the defense was one of the reasons we were so successful as a team. Even as time went by, I’ve always wondered what became of the Leffler boys. Coaches always like it when they can leave an impact on a kid, but we love it even more when the kids have impacts on us. Thank you for allowing me to coach Ian for a short time. Please know that he will always be a part of the Troy Patriots family.
