Obituary of Virginia C. "Ginny" Visker

GRAFTON - Virginia C. Visker, 62, of Grafton, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ginny was born in Troy and lived in Grafton. She was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1977, and Samaritan School of Nursing in 1996. Ginny was employed by Albany Medical Center and the Stratton VA Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Visker was a US Army Veteran. She served her country faithfully from 1978-1980 and received an honorable discharge. Ginny will fondly be remembered as a compassionate and caring nurse who gave excellent care to all. She loved her family and her 4 golden retrievers and cat. Survivors include her husband Daniel T. Visker, her children Amy (Majid) Iqbal and Melissa (Michael) Boulerice. She is also survived by stepchildren: Nadine, Suzanne, Patrick, Philipp, and Michelle. Ginny was the dear sister to: Donna (Rocco) Sorriento, Darlene Logozzo (Tim Anastasio) and Donald (Andrea) Harrington. Cherished grandmother of: Ava P., Ava B., Aiden, Hafeez and Zakariya. As well as many step grandchildren who also survive in Germany. Ginny was the aunt to several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, the late Bernard Peter Harrington, and Donna R. (Denton) Krupa, Ginny was predeceased by siblings: Sheila, Bernard, Jr., and Michael Harrington. Funeral Services will commence at 11 o'clock on Friday, January 28th from the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) in Troy. Interment with military honors will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Relatives and friends are invited to and may also call from 4-7PM on Thursday, January 27th in the funeral home.
