Obituary of Norma June Scudds

PITTSTOWN Norma June Scudds, 82, of Pittstown, passed away at her home in the comfort of her family on December 7, 2016 following a brief illness. Norma June was born in Ontario, Canada on March 1, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Alvin Cundick and Helen Burgess. Norma resided in Pittstown, NY most of her life, where she was a proud homemaker and raised her family. At onetime she was also employed as a switchboard operator. Norma had so much love for her family and friends. Family was always her first priority. She was a beautiful person inside and out who loved cooking for her family, loved animals and the outdoors. She would brake for any garage sale seen. She will forever be fondly remembered as "the garage sale Queen". Loving mother of Noel Scudds (Erika Molle) of Pittstown, Seth Scudds (Victoria Paul) of Pittstown, and Heidi Scudds of Troy. Cherished grandmother of Ciara J. (Shawn) Papielion of Melrose, and Timothy Scudds of Averill Park and great grandmother to Guilianna Zinna of Berlin and Stella Papielion of Melrose and April Linen. Besides her parents, Norma was predeceased by her husband Harold B. Scudds, whom she married on April 26, 1962. He passed away in 1998. Norma was also predeceased by two sons Aaron and Shaun Scudds. Relatives and friends will be received from 12-2pm on Monday, December 12th at Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, where the funeral service will commence at 2pm. Interment will take place in the Spring.
