Obituary of Albert G. Anderson, II

Albert G. Anderson, II of Cohoes, NY died peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was 58 years old. Born in Troy, NY on May 3, 1958, he was a lifelong area resident. Upon his retirement from the United States Air Force, Al went on to become a leader and mentor in the airline mechanics industry his entire life, sharing his professionalism, guidance, and wisdom to all. Big Al was truly loved by his airline family. A loving and kind brother, he enjoyed many special moments with his beloved sister Terry and brother in law, Allen. He was a loving and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews, Nick, Shari and Johnny and brother Roy and family. Al loved to hang with friends and riding his Harley! Most importantly, he cherished his girlies: Alyssa, Ashley and Abby. Albert was a loving, kind, caring and truly PROUD dad! Al made sure to keep the Sunday " Anderson tradition" alive, by making breakfast for his girls every Sunday, watching NASCAR, and just hanging out. Daddy's house is where his three busy girls chilled! Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 15th at 11am in the chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Lansingburgh. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY.
