Obituary of Mary Christina Pietrocola

LATHAM –
 
Mary Christina Pietrocola, 87, of Latham, NY, formerly of Mariners Harbour in Staten Island, NY, passed away on October 12, 2023 in Albany, NY.
 
The daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle (Adamick) Sellitti, Mary was born on March 31, 1936 in Staten Island, NY. She was raised, educated and resided in Staten Island, NY for the majority of her life until 2016 when she moved to Latham, NY to be near her children.
 
Mary was a graduate of New Dorp High School, Staten Island, NY. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother.  Our mom was a deeply religious person. She attended the Pentecostal Church on Harbor Road in Staten Island for many years. Even though she was unable to attend church in Latham, NY, she remained a devout Christian.
 
Survivors include her children and their spouses; Donna M. Pietrocola Pinheiro (Steven), Elena Pietrocola, Michael Belice (Susan), Camille Wing and Darius Pietrocola (Linda). Mary was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
 
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph Pietrocola, whom she married on July 11, 1959. She was also predeceased by her sister, June Estelle Rudiger, her brother Joseph Selletti, and her son Michael Joseph Pietrocola.
 
Special thanks to the Albany Medical Center Hospital and Staff, especially Jennifer Harrison, OT and Mary Ellen Colfer, a dear friend and neighbor.
 
Cremation has taken place through the care of The Riverview Funeral Home, Inc., Troy, NY.
 
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in the Oakwood Bible Church, 260 Oakwood Ave, Troy, NY 12182The Church opens at 11am and the Service will begin at 11:30am, with a light lunch to follow the service.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to: Albany Medical College, Albany NY or to Meals on Wheels, Albany NY.
