Obituary of Karen D. Faraci

TROY –
 
On November 17, 2023 at 10:53 pm, our mom, Karen D. Faraci, passed away peacefully with her beloved daughters, Sheila and Dawn, and her cherished grandkids by her side. She was 75 years old.
 
The daughter of the late Thomas and Nelda (Trembley) Adams, Karen was born on January 9, 1948 in Mechanicville. Karen was raised and educated in Mechanicville, and was a graduate of Mechanicville High School and Rensselaer County BOCES for cosmetology and hairstyling.
 
Karen worked for the State of New York in the Department of Workman’s Compensation. She retired from the state in 2013. A devout Catholic, Karen was a parishioner of the former St. Patrick’s Church in Troy.
 
Karen enjoyed camping outdoors with her family for over 30 years. She also enjoyed playing cards, BINGO, traveling and wintering in Florida. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
 
Karen was the devoted wife of 48 years to the late Arthur J. Faraci, who passed away on January 17, 2018. She is the loving mother to her two daughters, Sheila Faraci and Dawn Faraci, and the cherished grandmother of: Regina Neddo, Felicia Pease, Jacob Pease and Paul Neddo. Karen was the sister of: Janice Brennan, Thomas (Eileen) Adams and Dave (Marian) Adams. Several cousins also survive.
 
Karen was predeceased by her parents and her husband.
 
Funeral Services will commence at 12 noon on Monday, November 27, 2023 from the Chapel of The Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours from 10AM until 12PM prior to the funeral service at Riverview Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy, where Karen will be laid to rest beside Arthur.
