Obituary of Antoinette J. Duncan

TROY - Antoinette J. "Toni" Duncan, 77, of Troy, passed away on September 18, 2022, with her daughters by her side. She was born and raised in Cohoes, NY to the late Stanley and Elizabeth Witazek and Aunt Stella Midura. Toni graduated from Cohoes High School and worked for NYS for over 30 years, retiring as an Administrative Aide with the Department of Health in 2002 to care for her grandchildren. Toni was the center of her family. Her daughters and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was the consummate nurturer and loved tending to her home and yard and caring for her pets. Toni loved hosting holidays, upholding traditions and creating beautiful memories. Her organization, strength, and determination inspired those around her. She exemplified goodness, sacrifice and selfless love. Toni is survived by her daughters, Mary (Tom) McCormack and Christina Paglia of Troy. Lovingly known as "Gram", she was the proud grandmother of Thomas "Tommy" McCormack, Michael "Mikey" Paglia and Emily "Emmy" Paglia. Special thanks to the 4th Floor nursing staff at Samaritan Hospital for their care and compassion. Viewing Hours will be held privately at the Riverview Funeral Home in Troy. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Antoinette's Funeral on Saturday, September 24th at St. Michael's Church, 20 Page Avenue, Cohoes, NY 12047, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9AM. Interment will follow the mass in St. Michael's Cemetery in Waterford.
