Obituary of Frank A. Hasslinger, Jr.

TROY- Frank A. Hasslinger, Jr., 78, of Troy, passed away on May 30, 2021. Born in Troy on June 7, 1942, Frank was the son of the late Frank A. Hasslinger, Sr. and Mildred Dorothy Straight. He was a graduate of Watervliet High School, class of 1960. As a high honor student, Frank graduated 6th highest in his class. Mr. Hasslinger served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963-1966 and was stationed in Iran. Frank was formerly employed in his family's business, William Hasslinger's Flowers in Troy. Frank enjoyed gardening and reading his Bible. He liked to share stories with others and was a devoted friend to all. He was with Unity House for over 20 years. Frank is survived by his sister, Dorothy Hasslinger of Troy, as well as several cousins, friends and caregivers. He will be sorely missed. Relatives and Friends are invited to his graveside funeral, which will be held on his birthday (Monday, June 7th). Interment will be in the Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Avenue in Troy. Please assemble at the cemetery gate at 9:45AM. Prayers will be offered at 10 o'clock and you are encouraged to share memories and stories.
