TROY With heartbreak and deep sadness, the family announces the passing of Lisa Marie Mossey, 50, of Troy, who passed into the arms of the Lord on January 9, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital, after a brief, aggressive battle with renal cancer. Born in Troy, Lisa was the daughter of John H. and Colleen M. Gray. She was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School. Lisa worked for Rensselaer County Department of Social Services for 31 years. Lisa was an amazing woman who loved her family intensely. She was a nurturer, a giver of her time, love, and compassion to all that she knew. She had an undeniable sense of humor that made you constantly laugh when she told stories about her family and travel escapades. She was a prankster and jokester. She was truly one of a kind. Lisa was the first person to come up with the random road trips to various places across the country and loved camping with her family and friends. Lisa was always proud of her family and the various accomplishments that they faced. She was never one to shy away from telling you the truth and it was always out of love. Lisa went above and beyond for those in need without question. Lisa is survived by her beloved husband Michael Mossey Sr., her daughter Jacklyn Smith (Mason) and son Michael Mossey Jr. (Kristen), her grandchildren Karson Smith and Owen Mossey. She leaves behind her mother and partner in crime Colleen M.
