Obituary of Ruth Helen Salmon
Troy, NY
Ruth Helen Salmon, 79, passed away on December 19th, 2018 after a long illness.
Ruth was born in Bennington, Vermont on October 17, 1939. She was a lifelong resident of Troy, NY. Ruth was the youngest daughter of the late Myron Louis and Dorothy Elizabeth Sayers. She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward Salmon. They were married for 60 years.
Ruth worked for NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, Special Registration in Albany
where she retired in October 1998. She always yearned to travel to Ireland. She loved being with family, decorating on the holidays and shopping. She often loved to travel to new places. She loved playing bingo as well as trips to the casino and crafting. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her brother; Richard Sayers andher sister, Francis Sayers. She is survived by her 3 children: Tammy A. Camp (Kurt) of Newark, Ohio, Sabrina A. Salmon (Erin) and John E. Salmon both of Troy, NY, five grandchildren: Justin Salmon, Amber Salmon, Nicholas Vertucci, Zachery Camp and Sarah Camp as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Graveside Service, which will be held on Saturday, April 13th, at 2pm in Eagle Mills Cemetery, Brunswick, NY.
