Obituary of Maris Jean Lodge
Troy, NY
Maris Jean (Hackett) Lodge, 86, passed away peacefully
Monday, June 25th, at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing
Home in Troy, New York.
She was born in Saranac, New York to the late Ray Alton Hackett
and Lillian Jetta (Craig) Hackett on February 18, 1932 and
was a long time resident of the Saranac/Dannemora area.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years,
Donald Clark Lodge, who passed on in 1983, and Alvin
Canning, her companion of 28 years, who died in 2012,
and her brother Luther Hackett and sister Rosalie (Hackett) DeVries.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Susan (Lodge)
Cross and her husband Warren (Bobby), her son Randall
Lodge and his companion Debra Stark; brothers: Ray A
Hackett, Jr and his wife Louise, Roy L Hackett and his wife
Sue and sisters Sally (Hackett) Gardephe and her husband
Edward and Goldie Ellen (Hackett) Lauber and her husband
John. She Is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Kyle Richard
Upton and Kelsey Lynn Upton and one great grandchild
Gage Upton.
In her younger years she enjoyed camping and also took
care of numerous foster children, including babies.
She will be cremated and interred at the Saranac
Independence Cemetery along with her husband Donald.
Private service arrangements are yet to be determined.
