Obituary of Susan M. Gongola

Troy, NY Susan M. Gongola, 60 of Johnson Road, Cropseyville, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. Susan was born in Troy, NY, daughter of the late Harry and Rose Talarico Cummins; she was a lifelong area resident. Susan was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hoosick Falls, enjoyed bingo, was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, a tough lady and most of all a protective mom. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings: Linda, Harry and George Cummins. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her beloved husband of 34 years, Raymond Gongola, her devoted son, Rick (Devlin) Gongola of Greenfield; her stepchildren: Randy Lee Gongola of FL and Kimberly Dawn Cooper of AZ; ten precious grandkids: John, Emily, Hannah, Haylie, Arianna, Helena, Liam and Maeve, Dustin, John and Justin; her two siblings: Mary Cummins and Kem (Judy) Cummins both of Troy, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. A visitation period, to which, relatives and friends are invited will be held on Sunday, May 27th from 3 to 5 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2ndAvenue (corner of 104thSt), Troy, NY. Entombment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Mausoleum at St. Marys Cemetery, Troy, NY.
