Obituary of Arthur J. Faraci

Arthur J. Faraci, 70, passed away, after a sudden illness, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Albany Medical Center with his family by his side. Arthur was born in Troy to the late Salvatore and Mary Agnes Faraci. He was a lifelong resident of the city. Arthur drove for Wildwood Transportation after working for 23 years as a foreman for Southco, Inc. in Menands. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1964-1968. Arthur was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and camping. The family camped for over 30 years at Port Henry before moving on to Bulwagga Bay for 7 years and then finally at Ten Acres in Addison, VT. Arthur also enjoyed water skiing. No matter what he did he possessed a competitive nature and he enjoyed challenging those around him. Arthur is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen D. Adams Faraci; two daughters: Sheila Faraci and Dawn (George) Pease both of Troy; a sister Frances Kepner of Burnt Hills, NY and four grandchildren: Regina, Felicia, Jacob and Paul. Arthur is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 23rd at 11 AM from the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th St.) Lansingburgh. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Troy.
