Obituary of Jose R. German

Amsterdam, NY - Jose R. German, 60, of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 surrounded by his loving wife and family. For the last 20 years Jose made his home in Amsterdam and was employed at Fiberglass Industries in Amsterdam for 16 years. Jose loved music and chilling on the beach. He will fondly be remembered as a man who loved life, living it to the fullest. He was always happy and had a smile. He was kind and would do anything for anyone. Above anything else he was a loving family man. Jose leaves his loving wife of 13 years and life partner of 21 years, Lisa M. (Smith) German, whom he married in their Amsterdam home on May 12, 2003. He is also survived by his step children; Ramon and Joshua DeJesus and youngest son Jose German. His other children; Cynthia, Joey, Jaenelly and Jonathan. His mother Candida, several grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters also survive. Jose will be reposing in the family home, 177 Pioneer Street, Amsterdam, on Saturday, March 26th. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nicholas J. Facci, Funeral Director with Riverview Funeral Home, Troy.
