Obituary of Evelyn Mary Daigneault

Troy, NY- Evelyn Mary Daigneault, 93, of Troy, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Evelyn was born on February 4, 1923, the daughter of the late Edward and Mae Caulfield. Mrs. Daigneault was a hard working woman who worked many jobs from "Rosie the Rivotor", Behr Manning Corporation, Crossing Guard, Motel Manager, Vanilla Bean Bakery. She finally retired in 2009 from Watervliet Elementary School, where she enjoyed the smiles of many children as she served as their lunch lady. Evelyn was always full of life and kept a positive outlook, which was contagious to those around her. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her, especially by her beloved cat, Rusty. She was predeceased by her son Edward Daigneault, Jr. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her loving daughters, Sandra Ann Kehn and Diane Daigneault and her loving son Lawrence Daigneault. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Cindy VanVranken, Melissa Lamora, Donnie Kehn, Bonnie, Billy and Jimmy Allman; Greg, Darcy, Jeff and Keith Rockefeller; Lawrence and Mark Daigneault; and Jason and Nicki Daignault. Her spirit will live on and be deeply missed by all of her wonderful great grandchildren. The Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, Feb. 18th, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, where a funeral service will take place on Friday, Feb. 19th; at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lansingburgh.
