Dear Diane and the family and friends of Paul Gilman, From 1972 to 1987, I practiced law in Troy, first at 10 Second Street over Lucy's Luncheonette and then at 18 Second Street. While at the former location, Diane and her mom, Dorothy, both worked as secretaries for a number of years. It was during that period that I met Paul. He was a product of the hardscrabble life that many Trojans, including members of the Gilman/LeBeau family, endured and somehow survived. The trials and tribulations of life seemed to strengthen Paul's resolve, and he made the most of the opportunities afforded to him. I was inspired by the dogged persistence of Paul and the members of his family to overcome adversity. Please accept my sincere condolences on his passing. Bob Redmond
