Obituary of Mary E. VanWert

Born October 27, 1949 ~ At Rest July 29, 2015 Cohoes, NY- Mary E. (Need) VanWert, 65, of Cohoes, passed away at her home on Wednesday morning, July 29th surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Harry T. and Ida (Simard) Need of Waterford, NY. Loving life-companion of the late Clifford Shufelt, Sr. Beloved mother of: Sandra I. VanWert and Clifford Shufelt, Jr., (and his wife, Sandra) Dearest sister of: William Need (and his life partner, Chris) Dennis Need, the late Ronald Need, Sr., and the late Sandra Need. Cherished Grandmother of: Clifford Lee Shufelt, Patrick Joseph Hebert, Amanda Lynn Shufelt, Trevor and Travis Losee, and great grandmother of Hunter William Jurcsak. Sister-in-law of Marion Cooper of Chester, NH. Many nieces and nephews also survive along with many cousins, but especially: Ronald, William Robert, Chad, Wendy (Riley) Need. Best friend of Lucille Volk and the late Betty Valiorgsky. The family wishes to thank the Rensselaer County Hospice and Staff but especially Linda Bradt for all the care that was provided to Mary during her illness. It was Mary's request that there be no viewing or formal funeral services. A life celebration is to be announced at a later date.
