Obituary of Patrick James Pisaniello

Lowville, NY- Patrick James Pisaniello Patrick James Pisaniello, 87, formerly of Troy, NY passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at his home in Lowville, NY. Son of the late Giovanni Pisaniello and Elvira (Morcone) Pisaniello, Patrick attended Public School #1 in Troy, NY before attending Troy High School, class of 1945. He majored in physics at Union College in Schenectady, NY and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in 1950. He did graduate work in physics at the Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania, where he received a Master of Science degree in 1953. Patrick worked for many years in the laboratory at the former Behr-Manning Company (later Norton Company) in Watervliet, NY, and then Barclay Home Products in Cohoes, NY. Following his retirement, he enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years. Most recently for the past few years, he has resided at Brookside Senior Living Community in Lowville, NY. Mr. Pisaniello married Doris Ridington on July 8, 1951 in the former St. Patrick's Church in Troy with the Rev. William LeMoyne officiating. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Doris Pisaniello, his two sons: William R. Pisaniello (fiance Amelia Brillhart) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Dr. Daniel P. Pisaniello (wife Dr. Martha Lynn Matteson Pisaniello) of Lowville, NY, six grandchildren: Robert S. Pisaniello (U.S. Navy) of Charleston, South Carolina, Mark V. Pisaniello of Atlanta, Georgia, Elizabeth A. Pisaniello of Chiang Mai, Thailand, Mary C. (Timothy) Gao of Seville, Ohio, Sarah W. Pisaniello of Rochester, NY, and Christine R. Pisaniello of Lowville, NY. Patrick is also survived by two sisters, Concetta (Samuel) Abate of Troy, NY and Helen (Peter) Laurenzo of Mechanicville, NY as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Patrick was predeceased by a sister, Mary (Edgar) Blizzard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Monday, April 13th, at St. Augustine's Church, 25 115th Street, Troy, NY. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy, NY. Mr. Pisaniello will be reposing in the Chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home, located at 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY on Sunday evening April 12th. The Family will be present to receive relatives and friends from 4PM until 6PM.
