Saratoga Springs- Ben Finkin February 5, 1916- February 14, 2015 Ben Finkin: Son, Brother, Husband, Father and Friend. Ben was born in NYC to Albert and Blanche Finkin. He was the first born to the Finkin family and with his younger brother; Artie grew up in Richmond Hill NY and lived in NYC almost all his life. At 5 years of age Ben became Deaf due to illness. He attended Lexington School for the Deaf and graduated in 1934. He then studied in trade school to learn sheet metal drafting. As a draftsman he designed air conditioning ductwork for many structures in NYC including the World Trade Center, Cooper Union and upstate at West Point where his granddaughter Alexis is serving in the Army today. He was married to Renee Finkin for an unprecedented 70 years. Together they were very active at the Hebrew Association for the Deaf where Ben served as President. After the loss of Renee, Ben later embraced the love and mercy of Yeshua to help him through his loss. Ben honored God with his life in so many ways. He is survived by two sons Steve and Mark and their wives Randele and Susan as well as five grandchildren; Alexis, Adam, Jordan, Seth and Bethany. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held at 3PM, on February 26th in the Chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th St.), Troy. A gathering in Saratoga Springs will follow. Services were co-arranged through Riverview Funeral Home & Simple Choices, Inc.
