Obituary of Joyce A. Boyle

Joyce A. Boyle, 85, of Rensselaer and formerly of Troy, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Castleton, NY following a long illness. She was born on November 22, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Moulton) Britt. Joyce was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy. For many years, she worked as the receptionist for the law firm of Martin, Noonan, Hislop, Troue and Shudt and, subsequently at Noonan, Troue, Gutermuth and O'Connor until her retirement. Joyce was of the Catholic faith and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church, Troy. She is survived by her children, Kristine (Lewis) Kahler of Whitesboro, NY, Erin Tinger of Rensselaer and Joseph (Bonnie) Boyle of Perth, NY. She took great joy in her grandchildren Lewis, James and Justin Kahler, Rachel Lamoree and Jarod Dinardo, and Timothy and Kevin Boyle. She was also blessed to have known her five great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Spencer Kahler, Mark Lamoree and Ronan and Ryan Kahler. Joyce was predeceased by her granddaughter Christina Dinardo and by her sisters, Mary T. Roberts and Jeanne Ennis. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Riverside for their kind and loving care of our mother during her illness and for the compassion extended to her family throughout this difficult time. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a period of visitation from 9AM until 11AM on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue, (corner of 104th) in Troy. A brief memorial service will commence at 11AM with interment following in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Troy.
