Dear Kevin, Kent , Dale and all the family, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was certainly a second Mom to me for many years when I was growing up and hanging out with Sandy. She was a wonderful woman with a great sense of humor and a great laugh, and so generous and kind. There are so many images in my mind - I see her standing in her kitchen, or out by the pool, or waving her dust rag out the second story bedroom window, or having cocktails with my parents at the bar in our basement. At times I think I lived at her house even though I really lived next door. Both of your parents were great people and great friends of my Mom and Dad. I imagine there's now a big cocktail party in heaven with lots of laughter. She's now reunited with your Dad and Sandy, and hopefully that thought will bring you some comfort. She was an important part of my life growing up and I will continue to think of her fondly and smile, thinking of the memories.

I first met Dorothy when she was my Stepmother's roommate at EMGC. Her kindness to Helen, and actually that of all your family, was evident. Although it was difficult to interact with Helen because Helen was so hard of hearing, Dorothy managed to comfort and support Helen to the end. I know she held Helen's hand many times when things were difficult. It was after Helen's death that I became a closer friend. Dorothy was delightful to visit and we shared many life stories and had many experiences in common. I've been so sad that I have not been able to visit her for the last several months because I was in Florida and also dealing with some health issues. I will miss her. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Eleanor Doyle
