Obituary of Constance Joyce Fiendel

Troy Constance Joyce Boynton-Fiendel, formerly of Sheridan Avenue, Troy died on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, NY after a long illness, she was 81 years old. Constance was born in Schenectady, NY, daughter of the late George Henry Boynton and Sophia Ruthkowski Boynton. Constance lived most of her life in Troy and was employed for over 20 years at the "Menands Workshop", Northeast Career Planning where she ran the kitchen with great skill and pride. Even after her retirement she would still go in 2 or 3 days a week to keep an eye on things. Constance was an animal lover and looked forward to her visits with all her animal friends. Constance leaves behind her 6 children: Brenda Fiendel-Eggler of Lake City, MN, Martin "Skip" Fiendel of Melrose, Lois Fiendel-Gonzalez of Santa Clarita Valley, CA, George H. Fiendel of Burbank, CA, Christine Fiendel Rocha and Constance W. Carknard both of Troy. Her daughter Judith Fiendel predeceased her. Constance was grandma to: John, Carolyne, Alycia, Colyn, Corey, Kari, Amanda, Errol, Christopher and Kyle. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Constance will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
