Obituary of Arthur F. Buonora
Albany
Arthur F. Buonora, Jr., 64, passed away on Saturday, December 28 at home after a long illness.
Born in Albany, Art was a lifelong resident. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1968 to 1970.
After returning from service he was employed in many different fields working lastly as a chef for the food service at the New York State Capital. Arthur will be remembered as a jokester who loved to make people laugh.
He also enjoyed "war models".
He was a person who held a concern for underprivileged children and supported a child living abroad through his contributions.
Besides his family, Art will be missed by many friends. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Linda Merrill of Albany; two sisters: Marjorie L. LaMountain of Clifton Park, NY and Linda Marshall of Redding, CA.
He is also survived by four granddaughters: Alicia, Savanah, Emma and Nicole Ashline all of Albany, a niece: Marjorie Mitchell (Stewart Sitterly) of East Greenbush, NY as well as one great nephew, two great nieces and one great great nephew. Services for Arthur will be private.
