Obituary of Jacqueline E. Kearns-Cooney

Saratoga Springs Jacqueline E. Kearns-Cooney, 84 of Saratoga Springs, NY passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Glens Falls Hospital. Jacqueline was born in Dexter, NY to the late William and Mildred West. Jackie retired after 25 years of nursing at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, NY. She loved singing, dancing, music and doing crafts, but her greatest love was her family. Besides her parents, Jacqueline was predeceased by her first husband, Alfred Kearns and later by her second husband, Richard D. Cooney and siblings: William, Robert, John, Charles, Jean, Nancy, Barbara and grandson, Derek Cooney. Jacqueline is survived by her brothers: Joseph West (Joyce), C. Allen West (Faye), sister, Mary Ellen West and sister-in-law, Mary Ann LaSure; her children: Angela T. Santos (Alfred), Paul Kearns (Patricia), Bruce Kearns (Terry), Denise Cooney (Ron), Mark Kearns (Dawn), stepson, William Cooney (Linda). Jacqueline was the proud grandmother of: Colleen, Kevin, Eric, John, Catherine, Daniel, Bruce, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Stephen, Adam, Maria and Joseph as well as step grandchildren: Shannon & Colleen; fifteen great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be conducted on Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock from St. Joseph's Church, 3159 Route 9N, Greenfield Center, NY 12833, where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home, Inc., 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street), Troy, NY 12180 on Sunday from 3 to 6 PM. Interment immediately following the funeral service will take place in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
