Obituary of Kathleen Mary Neff

Kathleen Mary Neff passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Kathleen was born on November 17, 1956 in Stafford Springs, CT. Kathleen grew up and lived in Tolland, CT while raising her family. Later she moved to upstate NY with her sister, brother and parents residing in Schenectady. She loved her job working in the Culinary Department of Schenectady County Community College (SCCC), often calling it her "Dream Job". Kathleen worked hard and graduated from SCCC in 2008 with a degree in Occupational Studies in the Culinary Arts program. She avidly enjoyed cooking, was extremely talented at sewing and was a collector/writer of inspirational sayings. "Before I close my eyes I want you to know that I'm content for where I've been and I'm proud of who I am!" - Kathleen M. Neff 5/30/00 Kathleen is survived by her mother Mary Neff of Fort Plain, NY, daughters Leslie Ives of S. Windsor, CT & Renee Lydon of Coventry, CT, sisters Peggy Neff of Fort Plain, NY, & Jeannine Drill of Leesburg, VA and her four grandchildren Landon & Ethan Ives and Avery & Torin Lydon. Kathleen was predeceased by her father Ellery Neff Jr. and brother Keith Neff of Fort Plain, NY. There will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Kathleen's name to SCCC at 518-381-1442.
