Obituary of Elizabeth M. Connolly

Elizabeth M. Connolly, 92, died at the Lake Harris Health Center, in Leesburg, Fl, following a brief illness. Born August 13, 1920 in Northfield, Vt., She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Dora Belle Duquette. She graduated from Northfield High School. Elizabeth moved to Troy NY and worked in her early years at Montgomery Wards. She was later employed by Cluett & Peabody andthen in the family store The Pic Up, in Lansingburgh, NY. "In her later years, she enjoyed much success in pursuing her hobby of buying and selling antiques." She was married to the Late George E. Connolly for over 50 years. Besides her husband, Elizabeth was pre-deceased by her brother Kenneth Duquette and her sister, Ruth Duquette Brown. She leaves behind three daughters, Michele M. Lennon ( John - Deceased) , Patricia E. Voelker ( Wallace ) both of Fruitland Park, Fl, and Alethea A. Connolly of Syracuse, NY. In addition to her daughters she leaves behind ten Grandchildren, Jacqueline ( Jim ) Hennessy, of Latham, NY, Patrick, Sean, John & Michael Lennon, all of Troy, NY, Kevin Lennon ( Sue ) Waterford, NY, Marilea Frezza ( Dave ) of Rochester, NY, Patricia A. LaBelle ( Todd ) of Clermont, Fl., Scott Voelker ( Lisa ) of Ballston Lake, NY and KellyTwist ( Bill ) of Queensbury, NY. She also leaves fifteen great grandchildren, Elizabeth Hennessy, Ryan, David J., Casey, Taylor and Zachary Lennon, Kaylea, Meghan and David Frezza, Tyler and Joshua LaBelle, Alexis, Scotty, and Kayla Marie Voelker, and William Twist. She also is survived by three nephews Glen Brown, Michael Brown (Cecile) and Douglas Brown (Sherry), all of Maine, as well as a cousin, Dorothy Poleto, Troy, NY. Elizabeth will be reposing in the Chapel at the Riverview Funeral Home, Inc. located at 218 2nd Ave (corner of 104th St.) Troy, NY 12180, on Thursday August 22, 2013. The family will be present to receive friends from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. A Funeral Service will commence at 10:00AM, the following day, Friday, August 23, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home.
