Na'Kyi Saliyah-Lakarie Walker/Myers, 11, entered into eternal rest, suddenly, on June 2, 2103 at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, NY
Funeral Services in celebration of Na'Kyi's life will be held on Monday, June 10th at 11 am from the New Jerusalem Church, (formerly Oakwood Presbyterian) on the corner of 10th and Hoosick Streets, Troy, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the church on Monday from 10 to 11 am, one hour prior to the service.
Interment in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Avenue, Troy, NY 12180.
OBITUARY
Na'Kyi Saliyah Lakarie Walker-Myers was born on February 28, 2002 in Troy, NY to Tyronda Walker and Jeffrey D. Myers. Na'Kyi completed her earthly journey and entered into eternal rest June 2, 2013
Na'Kyi behan her education at the New Covenant Charter School in Albany, NY until 2010 and then attended the Troy City Schools. Na'Kyi was a member of Progressive Faith Ministries under the leadership of Elder Charles Guthrie where she was also a member of the youth choir.
Na'Kyi had the smallest voice but the biggest smile; she was very talented and enjoyed singing, dancing and playing the violin. She also loved to play her xbox, and call and text family and friends; one of her most favorite times was family movie night at Auntie Robin's house.
Na'Kyi shared a very special bond with her grandfather Ronald Walker; she loved to sit under him and he loved having her there. Special relationships were important to Na'Kyi, she also shared a blessed mother-daughter relationship with Aurelia Ray, who loved her dearly.
Those left to cherish Na'Kyi's memory include her mother, Tyronda Walker, her siblings: Jeffrey, Jamier, EShane, TySharon, Jania, Nasheer, Jamiah, Kly'Janaee & Jah'Zara. Also blessed to share a motherly bond Aurelia Ray; Grandparents Ronald Walker, Edith Ray, Clydell Jones, James & Lula Myers; Godmother Lisa Allen and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Na'Kyi will be joining her father Jeffrey D. Myers in
glory who preceded her in this earthly journey.
