Gary was one in a million. I never met anyone like him and never will again. He was an angel sent here to walk this earth and make everyone that knew him feel blessed. I feel blessed just for having known him. I will miss him more than words could say. I love you and miss you.

I worked with Gary at St. Clare's Hospital and have daily happy memories of that time. His colorful way of describing situations always included his infectious laugh! I was reunited with him when I took care of him during his colon cancer treatments and we stayed connected after that. I was in Ellis hospital last summer and Gary visited me every day he was working and I always had a crowd of laughing people in my room hanging on every word he said. He was so kind and caring. His serious side was just as wonderful as his humerous side. I will miss going out to lunch or for wings and drinks in the evenings. You couldn't help but love Gary and there is such a hole in my heart where he lives. God has him now but selfishly, I wish he would have let us keep him a little longer. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Gary at a New Year's Eve party on December 31, 2005. Shortly thereafter we became good friends and in the very short time I knew him, he became my best friend. Gary was always willing to help and when my mother was facing the possibility of having to go to a nursing home, Gary encouraged me to take her into my home and promised to help me and be there for us. He never let me down. HE was there doing what ever needed to be done and more. He actually became my mother's very best friend and companion. Words will never describe my sense of loss which is so profound. I will never forget Gary, his kindness, helpfulness, love of his dear ones and faithfulness to the church. RIP, my dearest friend.

I have many wonderful memories of playing in the backyard at their house when I was little. Uncle Gary was always so full of life and love and was a completely devoted son. He cared so much for his family, friends, and, of course, his beloved pups. May God welcome you with open arms Uncle Gary. You will be missed by many.

Gary, thank you for 35 years of your sense of humor and wonderful laugh. You were a great coworker, especially remember the fun you, Clare Durant and I had working on old 3west! You were very kind to many. You were the life of the party and I suspect heaven is now a bit more fun since your arrival. Rest in peace... You will be missed.

Our Christian faith assures us that "in death life is not ended, it is only changed!" My friendship with Gary began in the 1960's at the Wallace Company in Schenectady. I was a stock clerk, I remember him to have worn many hats. Most recently, I visited with him after an Ash Wednesday Liturgy. As others have recalled, Gary was a genuinely nice guy - rooted in his faith; and caring of others. While we will certainly miss him on this earth, may we all be comforted in the knowledge that he has achieved is heavenly reward (passing on the same day as did our Savior). May he rest in God's eternal light and peace.

Hey Gar, I will never forget that infectious laugh and vibrant personality. We will miss seeing you each day as you drove passed our home and always beeping hello and your little doggies joining in, barking in unison. The hospitals were blessed to have someone like you caring for their patients. Thank you for all you did. Thank you for being such a great friend to my brother David. After having spent so much time together, I know he is going to miss you greatly. Rest in peace, Gar.

Gary's lifelong passion was always his relationship with the church and God. (as well as his puppies) I take comfort in knowing that my best friend now rests with his Maker, who he truly loved, and believed with all his heart and soul, loved him. I'll miss him terribly, but have many wonderful memories of all our times together. Bye Gar...
