Obituary of Joseph Anthony DeFaria

Joseph Anthony DeFaria, 42 of Rotterdam, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 24 at home. Born in Monticello NY, Joseph moved to the Capital Region in 1986. He was self-emplyed as a general contractor. Joe was a very personable man and connected with people on a very personal level. He was outgoing and enjoyed life, music his dogs and a good joke. Joe was a "prankster". He was a loyal friend a good son and father. He enjoed a range of culinary interests. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents: Diane Drake of Lansingburgh and Jose DeFaria of Miami, FL. He was father of: Amanda Scieri DeFaria, Amber Elisa DeFaria both of Schenectady and Stephanie DeFaria of Watervliet, NY., he was brother of, Gina Chapman of Troy, Chris Chapman of Mechanicville, Gabriela E. DeFaria, Brenton E. DeFaria and Alessandra M. DeFaria all of Miami, FL. He is also survived by 3 nephews and a niece. Funeral services and calling hoiurs will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
