Dear Family, I am so sorry to read these pages. I feared this was the case for a few years now, since I could find no trace of Stephen. My mother, before she died in 2015, told me that she'd forgotten that Stephen had driven by her house saw her and asked her to relay a message to me to reach out to him. Unfortunately she'd lost the address/phone but thought it was somewhere around Culver City, CA. That search proved fruitless & it wasn't until CCAC sent out class of 1970's reunion packed that I saw his photo on the cover of the 'in memoriam' pages. Stephen ALWAYS had my back, not that I'd ever done anything to deserve it. Growing up Stephen was the kind of friend kids all over would with to have. never needy always supportive. We tried to stay sort of in touch in Rochester at school. Nancy & I went over to spend the day with Amy & him, they seemed so happy & good together. After that I'm sorry to say I became wrapped up in me...to the exclusion of everyone else. I am so sorry that I cannot say this to Stephen personally, I owed him that. Steve was one of the real GOOD guys, a honest friend for you without an agenda, ever. My belated but deepest condolences for your & our loss, because like I said, the world lost one of the good guys when Stephen passed. John Horne johnwhorne@gmail.com
