Obituary of Barbara E. Hunter

Schenectady, NY Barbara E. Hunter, 63, of Hulett Street, passed away on January 13, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady to the late Douglas and Elizabeth Bradley Shaw, Barbara was a lifelong area resident. Barbara enjoyed drawing, writing poems, cooking, reading history books, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzels as well as going to the Racino. Her heart was so full of love and joy she was loved by many and was mother to many besides her own. She would do anything for a child in need She was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her. Barbara lived her life for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings: Douglas (Linda) Shaw and Sandra DiGiandomenico. She was the loving mother of: Gina (John) Hawkey, Edward (April) Chandler, Dante Carter, Daniel (Frances) Hunter, Ayanna Hunter and Devon (Kristina) Hunter. She was loving and caring gradmother to: Brittany (Nicholas) Renaud, Edwin Hawkey, Madison Chandler, Naomi Carter, Ariante Carter, Dante Carter, Jr., Noah Hunter, Ayanna Hunter, Daniel Nichols, Shiya Hunter, Sade Hunter, Nyla Barrow, Tyrone Barrow, Devon Hunter III, Savonnah Hunter and Maximus Hunter. Loving great grandmother of Anthony Renaud. She was also Aunt to: Carrie Angeles, Lindsay Shaw, Michael Shaw and Ricky DiGiandomenico. A Graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 PM at Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may assemble at the Brandywine Avenue entrance to the cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 2:20 PM.
