Obituary of Henry Binkowski

Henry Binkowski, died at age 83 on January 13, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Bernice Binkowski, his wife of 66 years, along with his children, Edward (Karlien) Binkowski of Clifton Park, NY, Robert (Diana) Binkowski of Morristown, TN, Donna (William) Shave of Duanesburg, NY, Denise (Jeffrey) Wright of Elizabethtown, NY and Linda (Patrick) Ellsworth of Elizabethtown, NY. He was predeceased by his son, Steven Binkowski. Henry also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by four siblings: Ann Olszowy O'Bin, Theodore Binkowski, Gene Binkowski, and Helen Palmer. He is survived by his older sister, Stella Faulkner. Before retiring, Henry (Binky) drove truck for Grand Union, Albany Gravel and Valente Sand &Gravel. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, playing cards, slot machines and most of all, his children and grandchildren. He was a giant of a man with a loving heart and a great sense of humor. Many thanks to the nursing staff at Glendale Nursing Home for the wonderful care he received in his final weeks. At Henry's request, there will be no services.
