Obituary of Marlene F. Denny

Troy, New York Marlene Florence Denny, 77, a lifelong resident of Troy, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2013 under the beautiful care of Albany Medical Center Hospital, CCU. Marlene was the wife of the late Harry Denny. She is survived by her son, Patrick (Pam) Denny of Andover, MA and her granddaughter, Geena JiGuo Denny her sister, Bonnie Prespare. She was the beloved aunt of: Kathy Wells, Tish Bush, Kitty Shorkey, Jenny Thompson, Earl Prespare and Matt Hallett. She was the beloved great aunt to Jared Wells along with many other nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Marlene was also predeceased by her sister, Peggy Hallett. Marlene worked her entire life in the garment industry, including Ursula of Switerzland, Tiny Town Togs and Standard Manufacturing. She was a member of the All Troy Club, The Veteran's of Lansingburgh Ladies Auxiliary and Eagle Clubs. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 19th at 1:30 PM from the Cornerstone Community Church of Lansingburgh, 570 3rd Avenue, Troy, NY 12182 with Pastor Allen Siebold officiating, relatives and friends are invited to attend.
