Obituary of Daniel S. Rehm

Troy Daniel S. Rehm, 47, of Highland Avenue, Troy, died on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness. Daniel was born in Troy to: Clarence Robert Rehm, who died in 1998, and Jean A. Munhall. Daniel was a lifelong city resident and graduate of Troy High School. He was employed for the past 18 years with the Sycaway Creamery as a commercial driver/deliveryman. He also served in the United States Army from 1983 through 1984. Daniel was a life member of the Emerald Athletic Club in Troy. He was a "sports fanatic", and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Vikings. Dan had a heart of gold and would help anyone out when they needed it. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Leona M. Rehm, and his mother, Jean A. Buonlamperti of Troy. He was the father of: Daniel S. Rehm, Jr., Devyn Rehm, Jennifer Malcolm (Jason) and Shannon Malcolm (Jesse) all of Troy. He was the brother of: Bertha Martell, Kimberly Brown, Tina Rehm, Debbie Stocklas, Robin Lansing, Bernard "Spookie" Devio, Bob Scheilding and Robert Rehm. He was grandfather of Isabella Anselment of Troy. He also leaves behind beloved friends: Bill Springle, Joseph Pratt, Bryan Bruce, John Stiefel and many more. A Prayer Service will be conducted for Daniel on Friday evening at 7 PM; relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home Inc., 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180, on Friday from 4 to 7 PM. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy, NY.
