Obituary of Maureen P. Kosko
Boght Corners
Maureen P. Kosko, 80 of Boght Corners, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 30th at her winter home in Lakeland, Florida.
Maureen was born in Troy, NY to the late Thomas Francis Phibbs and Mary Butler Phibbs.
She resided for the past 50 years in Boght Corners and has wintered in Lakeland, Fl for the past 25 years.
She was a graduate of
Catholic Central High School in Troy and also attended Russell Sage College.
Maureen was employed by the State of New York for many years retiring in 1990.
She was a very kind and giving person with a wonderful sense of humor.
She touched so many lives in so many ways, and will be greatly missed.
Maureen is survived by her husband of 60 wonderful years, Joseph J. Kosko.
She was the mother of JoAnn Kosko Simmons and mother-in-law of Timothy Simmons of Selkirk, NY.
She is also survived by her "angels" Maureen and Timothy J. Simmons, both of Selkirk, NY.
Her funeral will be conducted on Thursday morning at 8:45 am at the Riverview Funeral Home, Inc., 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY, 12180 and at 9:30 o'clock from St. Joseph's Church, South Troy, (Third & Jackson Streets), where a Solemn High Requiem Mass will be offered.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.
Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Boght Corners.
