Obituary of Lawrence L. Taylor
ALBANY - Larry "LT56" Taylor escaped this earth through the lily fields on Thursday, Sept 13, 2012. His quick passing goes to show you don't ever know, but heaven better get prepared because there's gonna be a party up there tonight. LT was born in Saratoga Springs, NY on March 24, 1947 to Kathryn and Paul Taylor, who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his beloved older brother, Bobby. He leaves behind to mourn his loss his son Matt and his girlfriend, Melissa of Albany, his daughter Kirsten Lambert and her boyfriend Alexander of the Bronx, his cat Lilly, and so very many friends. Larry's children always came first, and he treasured them immeasurably. Larry was the life of every party, making everyone laugh with his good (and bad) jokes and his perceptive comments. LT loved music, golf, the Giants and Yankees, and going to the track with his friends.
Larry was a mixologist at some of the finest joints in town, including The Golden Fox, La Casa, Frank's Living Room, Guido's Playroom, The Silver Dollar, The Griffin and The Garden Grill. Some came to see Larry to laugh their past away, and some came to make it just one more day, and many became good friends. Larry was lucky to have a tremendously loyal group of friends from Frank's Living Room days, and before and after, who have loved and supported Larry through his good days and his many hospitalizations and illnesses.
Larry, continuing his way of helping others, wanted to leave his magnificent body to Albany Medical Center to be used in any way possible to benefit others and science. Regardless, LT's love is in the air and we can feel it all around us.
A celebration of LT's life will be held at the Kellam home in Albany, the late afternoon of September 29, 2012 and any/all of his friends and family are welcome.
