I met Kathleen about 20 years ago at an ADK outing. From then on we hiked and later bicycled together when possible. Hiking with Kathleen and John Winkler was alwyas an entertaining off-trail adventure. I'll miss her wonderful sense of humor and stories. Happy Trails, Kathleen.

Kathy was ADK 46'er # 1179. I'm # 1180. She got hers just one week before me! I hiked with her a few times over the years. We also had in common a very close friend - the late John Winkler. I know if John was here, he would have the kindest words for Kathy too. Kathy was also on the Board of Friends of Thacher State Park, as am I now. Kathy's friendship, quirky humor and spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

I will cherish the great memories I have of working with Kathleen in The Blackcrow Network. Also how excited she was when we did a workshop together in Lake George and I taught her how to sew yo-yo's out of fabric. She continued on to make pains-taking dresser scarves, etc. Kathleen was a unique lady who's mentoring I readily accepted. I will surely miss her and her sense of humor. Thoughts and love to a special friend. Ruby

I knew Kathleen through the storytelling community. I loved her stories of nature. About a year and a half ago, I rediscovered the Dominican Retreat House. I was pleased to see Kathleen there on some special days. I last saw her at my first Dream Class there, on June 13. I was glad to talk with her that evening. Kathleen was one of a kind, and she will be missed. I send my love and prayers to Kathleen's sister and her family. Grace and peace, ~Colette Odell

Kathy was very helpful to me with her advice and contacts when I was working on the AT. Her book, STORYWALKING the AT, was the gift I chose to share with all of my hiking buddies. Rest in peace, Kathy.
