Thoughts and conolences on the passing of your loved one.The obit really touched me as this lady certainly is to be admired. I also read the loss of her sibling and express my sadness to the family. Dear Tom and family, It is with great sadness that we express our condolensces to you. Irene was a horse lover of the highest level and continually gave back to horses in need. Easy Street Rescue received many referrals from her with the latest just six weeks ago, which resulted in the adoption of Stormy. Stormy is now with a very loving couple whom fell in love with Stormy at first site, thanks to Irene. Thank you, Irene, for all that you did and all that you gave. We know you are now in God's pastures riding our Thor and Babe.

Tom, I was so shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Irene's sudden passing. As you know, I understand all too well the devastating loss of a spouse and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. My experience has shown me that time heals. I take comfort in knowing Irene lived her dream with you and the horses.

Last evening , I was informed of Irene's death. I must confess that the news took my breath away. Irene and I were school friends. We often were in the same high school classes and we graduated together on June 22, 1975. I was to her home and she to mine as our school years passed. A few summers ago, we met at a gathering for all of the Class of 1975 to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We " reconnected" right away! May God bless Irene's spirit and provide you with peace!

I met Irene this past summer at her farm during a riding clinic. I liked her immediately. She was so warm and welcoming. I was looking forward to getting to know her better. For some reason we don't understand, God needed her in heaven.

Tom, I am so sorry to hear that Irene is gone. We shared some good talks and thoughts together when she was around our gatherings in Johnstown. A few years ago she gave me a Christmas Angel that she thought looked like me.I still have that angel on display in my house. Now it will take on a new meaning as it will always be there as a reminder of her and the time we spent together. Sorry she is gone. Nelva

We just had one meeting, one impression, one chance. But beyond the veil, there is still work to be done, and I'm pretty sure she's doing it. My deepest sympathies to her loved ones. May your very best memories build a bridge to peaceful tomorrows.

Irene was an amazing woman. Her strength, love, compassion and enthusiasm were unbounded. When she invited me out to the farm, it was not because she needed a hand, it was because she knew I loved horses. When working with the rescued horses, she would always say â

I remember Irene from years ago--happy, sweet, kind, a beautiful soul. I'm not surprised that she donated her organs--that really sums it up--a person of compassion and kindness beyond words. Sleep well old friend. Amen.

Irene's compassion and caring for all living beings brought much joy and light into our lives. We enjoyed her company so much and especially loved her caring emails that she thoughtfully sent to people she knew almost every day - it was indeed a ministry of caring. We have many wonderful memories of Irene at group gatherings in Canada at our mutual friend's, Frank Demuth, cottage. The world is a better place because of Irene. We consider it an honor to have known her.

I knew Irene much too short a time as a member of our Tuesday Al-Anon group. I so appreciated her presence and her honesty in sharing. I'm truly shocked to learn of untimely passing. She was truly compassionate when my wife passed away in March. May she rest in Peace.
