Dr. Bloodstein was one of the best professors I ever had. I loved his stuttering course and appreciated his help as a member of my thesis committee. Years later when I returned to Brooklyn College to teach he was my colleague and friend. My condolences go to his family and dear wife, Annette. Frederick N. Martin, Ph.D. Professor Emeritus The University of Texas at Austin

Danny, I was so sorry to hear about your father. The loss of a parent is not easy but know that you and your family are in my thoughts at this difficult time.

I knew Dr. Bloodstein from Brooklyn College back in the 70's. I took three courses with him, undergraduate and graduate. He was an inspiration to me. He gave me a glowing recommendation when I was applying to doctoral schools. I fondly remember the talks we had, at BC and at NYSSHLA conventions. He had a subtle humor. Ironically, I only learned that he lived in Delmar after I had been living here for 10 years! I tried calling but got no answers. I only wish I was able to talk with him again before his passing. He was a brilliant scholar, an excellent teacher and a gentle, kind-hearted man. He will always be in my thoughts.
