Obituary of Ronald G. Lane
PLEASANTDALE –
Ronald G. Lane, 80, of Pleasantdale, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 11, 2023 following a brief illness.
A lifelong resident of Troy, Ronald was born on January 15, 1943. He was the son of the late George F. and Eliza (McKinney) Lane. Ronald attended local schools within the Lansingburgh Central School District.
Mr. Lane was employed with the City of Troy for 36 years in their Public Utilities Department. He was a past member of the Pleasantdale Fire Department. Ronald will be warmly remembered for his enthusiasm for vintage automobiles. He enjoyed attending car shows, auto races, as well as watching them.
Survivors include his brothers: Garry Lane, Robert (Linda) Lane and Wayne Lane. He is also survived by his caring sister-in-law Marretta (the late George) Lane. Several nieces, nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his sister Jeannine Coon.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with Ronald’s Family on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 4-7PM in the Chapel of The Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180.
Funeral Services will commence at 10 o’clock on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from The Riverview Funeral Home with Interment following in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
