Obituary of Sharon Lisa Lozo
TROY –
Sharon Lisa Lozo, 65, of Troy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
The daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Doyle) Bayly, Sharon was born in Troy on January 2, 1958. She was a lifelong resident of Troy and a graduate of Troy High School. Sharon was employed by the former St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy as an instrument sterilizing technician. She retired in 1992.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her only son, Jamie Steven Lozo, who passed away in 2021 and one sister, Michele Fitzgerald.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Steven L. Lozo, whom she married on July 26, 1975.
Sharon is also survived by one daughter, Jessica Lozo; two grandsons: Nicholas Rigney and Kadyn Torturo, and two sisters: Denise (Scott) Losee and Patricia (Mark) Wheeler. Sharon was close to nieces: Allie, Tara and Kristine as well as her cousins: Marie and Vincent. Extended nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180. Sharon’s husband Steven will offer some scripture at the conclusion of the calling hours at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
