Rusty Hubbarth posted a condolence
Tuesday, July 2, 2024
Hello. My name is William Rusty Hubbarth, and I served in the United States Marine Corps with Kim in the early 1970's. I reconnected with him and met Leslie when they came to Hawaii in 2001.
Kim was one of my best friends in the Marines. His nickname was "Flash" because he was always very slow and deliberate about everything he did. He was well liked and respected by his fellow Marines.
Leslie was charming and seemed to love Hawaii. She really enjoyed "Dukes" in Waikiki.
My condolences to the Peppin family and friends.

May you rest in peace Les. I'm sorry your life was taken so early and we didn't get to reunite, but I'm bittersweet Knowing you're with Dad and Jay although that's sad as well. I wish I knew of your illness so I could at least say my goodbyes. Thank you for accepting Phil, Jay and I as your own, providing for us and creating so many beautiful memories with us. You were such an amazing person with a heart of gold and I love you so much
