I joined the Capital Community Voices just a few years ago and always enjoyed seeing Bill every week, welcoming everyone and hearing his strong singing voice. He was so welcoming to me. I was very saddened to learn of his death and know that his absence will be felt by many at CCV and elsewhere. Someone else mentioned that Heaven has gained a new angel in its choir. How true. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I first met Bill when I joined CCV over 15 years ago, and found very quickly that the smile that he greeted everyone at rehearsals with was very genuine. Singing with Bill was serious, but also fun. His dedication to music and his genuine love of bringing that music to everyone was endless. Whether CCV, The Methodist Church, The CoffeeHouse, or The Residences of the Elderly, Bill brought a message of love to everyone with his music. Bill also gave his time and talents to CCV in many other ways. Keeping up our database relating to the singers, their talents, their contact information, and abilities that might help strengthen any group he sang with. Bill was always willing to help with anything that needed his smile and his commitment. Everyone that knew Bill will miss him, and I will especially miss our talks, our singing together over the years, and the occasional lunch we would have with some of the other singers that we'd get together with.

Bill will be missed by all. He was a valuable member of the First United Methodist Church in East Greenbush, where he generously used his gifts and talents. A gifted musician with a warm heart. Our condolences to his loving family for comfort.

My heart aches to think of walking into CCV rehearsal and not seeing Bill’s smiling face. He always knew everyone’s name and went out of his way to make you feel welcomed and remembered. I knew him through the chorus and he was always dedicated and conscientious. His personality and strong singing voice will be so missed! I’m impressed by all of the accomplishments and community involvement I’ve read about in his obituary and that speaks volumes about his character. It sounds like he led a rich and full life. To all of his close friends and family, you have my deepest condolences. I hope that your memories will help to console you, especially during this sad time. Heaven’s choir has a new angel.

We met Bill at the Greenbush Y where he greeted us as new members in 2019 and introduced us to his friends. Thus the social aspects of the Y began.Bill was witty, intellegent (letters to the editor), and fun, he always made us laugh! We made a point to visit with him every day he was at theY! We learned of his activities such as singing in the church choir and performing at nursing homes. We never met a nicer individual!

I had the fortune of having Bill under my direction of Capital Community Voices for my 30 years with the group. His ongoing commitment to the chorus, whether serving on the Board, singing solos, suggesting themes and pieces, or greeting each person at the entrance table, will be sorely missed. Sincere condolences to Bill's family.
